About.Hi! Welcome to DiDat. We, a biologist and a IT specialist from Vienna, designed and developed DiDat to make collection, use and sharing of data much more easy than with pen and paper! Currently, we're testing this new data collection tool in the field and optimize its design and usability. You can try out the prototype available at this website - but we cannot guarantee 100% safe data collection/storage yet. For this, please wait for the published version - but do stay tuned, we're soon ready to appear in App Stores as well.
Also, feel free to contact us with questions or provide feedback! Take care and take it easy, Bea & Christian |
DiDat's first steps 2018
Bea carried the idea for DiDat for a long time - and finally realized the project in 2018! This was only possible through the great enthusiasm and commitment of Christian. We enthused each other about ecological field data and software programming and realized that no available tool could do (the most simple things) we want - this is how DiDat was started. Using DiDat, you will soon forget about old fashioned datasheets on paper and frustrating data entry. DiDat allows you to load ANY of your datasheets on your smartphone or tablet - collect your data - upload automatically - done!
Curious? Please stay tuned. |
DiDats Goal & Future
The DiDat prototype can already make your daily data life much easier - no more data entries that need to be entered manually. Much safer data. Much more efficient use, handling and sharing of data. All based on a very simple solution: DiDat makes data tables easily transfer,- and convertable between different devices. But the simplest solutions are often the best. Bea urgently needed DiDat for her field work and designed it. Today, she is happy to save lots of time with DiDat, faster data collection and management - thanks to the dedication of Christian, who programmed DiDat. DiDat can soon do a lot more - and is almost infinitely expandable! We continue to spin the ideas diligently and will keep you updated.
